Kurt is an accomplished music educator, dedicated to facilitating the natural unfolding of innate musicality in students of all ages and backgrounds. He offers lessons in the following disciplines:

Kurt has years of experience offering music clinics, workshops, classroom and private lessons. He has served as a core faculty member at the Rochester Contemporary School of Music and has strengthened the musical community at the YMCA through innovative programming, and the development of popular ensemble and club opportunities. Kurt’s enriched public and private school music programs by leading improvisation clinics; mentoring concert, jazz and rock bands; and providing advisement in music careers and professional musicianship.

Kurt is a lifelong student of music who possesses a diverse and carefully curated education rooted in comprehensive studies of key musical elements, including the melodicism of Hindustani Raga, the harmonies of Jazz Guitar, and the rhythms of African Drumming. Informally, he has studied with musical greats such as Gordon Stone, Tony Trichka, Musekiwa Chingodza & David Leibman.
